The second stop is the East and West Alleys, the only remaining historical street area from the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guilin. This scenic area showcases the ancient charm of Guilin, including traditional alleys such as Zhengyang Street East Alley, Jiangnan Alley, and Lanjing Alley.

The fan ribs are made from local nanmu bamboo, and the fan surface is made of rice paper or silk, which is then crafted through a series of processes including painting, dyeing, mounting, pasting, threading, and lacquering.
